A useful transport-readiness review should test the same operational areas the secure-transport rule touches: the vehicle, GPS, climate-control capability, insurance, driver credentials, transport request, route, required transport record, receiver signature, and incident handling.
1–3: Vehicle, insurance, driver
Can you identify the exact vehicle used? Can you show the insurance evidence your operation relied on at the time? Can you identify the transporting staff member and the credential evidence associated with that assignment?
If those answers live in three folders, note the retrieval time. Audit readiness is partly a data-organization problem.
4–6: Load, request, route
Can you identify what was supposed to move, the transport request available for the run, and the GPS route history? Can you explain any route exception from the record rather than from memory?
These questions connect the regulated transfer to what physically happened.
7–8: Conditions and receiving
Can you show how the operation documented trip conditions such as temperature observations under its SOP? Can you produce the receiving staff member’s acceptance/signature and any discrepancy or rejection information?
The end of the run should be documented as deliberately as the departure.
9–10: Final record and incident trail
Can you retrieve the complete written/electronic transport record? If an accident, diversion, loss, rejection, or other exception occurred, is the response preserved with the run?
If the answer to several of these requires searching email, screenshots, texts, or paper, the operation has a systems gap even if the underlying trip was handled correctly.
Frequently asked questions
Is this checklist itself an NJ-CRC form?
No. It is an operational readiness checklist based on the subjects addressed by New Jersey’s secure-transport rule.
What is the goal of the Flower Freight Transport Readiness Review?
To identify where a transport record depends on fragmented tools or manual reconstruction and determine whether a unified workflow would save time and reduce risk.
Does a fast audit export prove legal compliance by itself?
No software can make that legal conclusion for an operator. A fast, accurate record can make the underlying facts much easier to review.
